Sheffield United kept up the pressure on leaders Norwich with a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

The Blades are now just three points behind the Canaries, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Reading on Friday night.

David McGloghlin scored the opener for Sheffield United with just five minutes played, and Jayden Bogle doubled the lead before the half-hour mark. Billy Sharp added a third late on to seal the victory.

West Brom missed the chance to go second after being held to a 1-1 draw at Hull City.

Matheus Pereira scored a stunning goal early in the second half, but Keane Lewis-Potter rescued a point for Hull with a close-range finish in the 84th minute.

Burnley moved up to fourth with a 2-1 win at home to Swansea.

Ashley Barnes broke the deadlock for the Clarets just before the half-hour mark, and Jay Rodriguez added a second in the second half. Joel Piroe pulled a goal back for Swansea in the 83rd minute, but it proved to be a consolation.

Elsewhere, Queens Park Rangers beat Coventry 1-0 at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, while Bristol City and Blackburn played out a 1-1 draw.
