Coventry City sack Mark Robins after seven years at the helm
The Sky Blues have made the decision to part ways with their manager following a poor run of form
Coventry City have sacked manager Mark Robins after seven years in charge of the Sky Blues. The decision was made following a poor run of form that has seen the team win just two of their last 11 league matches. Robins leaves the club with Coventry 19th in the Championship table, just four points above the relegation zone.
Robins was appointed as Coventry manager in March 2015, and he quickly guided the club to promotion from League One in his first full season in charge. The Sky Blues then spent three seasons in the Championship under Robins, but they were relegated back to League One in 2020-21.
Coventry bounced back to the Championship at the first time of asking, and they finished 12th in the second tier last season. However, the Sky Blues have struggled for form this season, and Robins has now paid the price with his job.
