Coventry sack Mark Robins after seven years in charge
The Sky Blues have parted company with their manager following a poor run of form.
Coventry City have sacked manager Mark Robins after seven years in charge.
The Sky Blues have won just one of their last 10 matches in all competitions, and currently sit 21st in the Championship table, just one point above the relegation zone.
Robins, 53, was appointed Coventry manager in March 2017, and led the club to promotion from League One in 2018.
Coventry are now searching for their third manager in less than two years.
They sacked Russell Slade in October 2021, and replaced him with Robins' former assistant, Mark Venus, on an interim basis.
Venus was then replaced by Robins in March 2017, and has been in charge for over 300 matches.
Coventry's next match is at home to Millwall on Saturday.
Assistant manager Adi Viveash has also left the club.
The Sky Blues have not yet announced who will take charge of the team for Saturday's match.
Robins' departure comes as a surprise, as he had recently signed a new contract with the club.
However, the club's recent poor form has led to increased pressure on Robins, and he has now paid the price.
