Dolly Parton’s Dollywood Theme Park Preps for 35th Anniversary
New Ride, Hotel, Dining Concepts on Tap for 2023 Season
Country Music Star, Philanthropist’s Tennessee Park to Mark Milestone with Major Investments
Country music legend and philanthropist Dolly Parton is preparing to celebrate the 35th anniversary of her beloved Dollywood theme park with a major investment in new attractions, dining concepts and a hotel. The park, located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, will roll out the new offerings throughout the 2023 season.
The biggest addition is Big Bear Mountain, a new family-friendly roller coaster that will take riders on a thrilling journey through the Smoky Mountains. The coaster will feature a unique “launch and drop” system that will propel riders forward and then drop them down a steep hill.
In addition to the new ride, Dollywood will also open a new 300-room hotel, Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort. The hotel will be located adjacent to the park and will offer guests a variety of amenities, including a pool, fitness center and restaurant.
Dollywood is also adding several new dining concepts to the park, including a new barbecue restaurant, a new pizza restaurant and a new ice cream parlor. The new restaurants will offer a variety of options for guests, from classic American fare to sweet treats.
The 35th anniversary celebration will kick off on March 10, 2023, and will run through the end of the season. During the celebration, Dollywood will host a variety of special events, including concerts, parades and fireworks shows.
“I’m so excited to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Dollywood with all of our guests,” Parton said. “We’ve got some amazing new things in store for them this year, and I can’t wait to see their reactions.”
Dollywood is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tennessee. The park attracts over 3 million visitors each year and has been recognized for its excellence in customer service and entertainment.
