Fortuna Düsseldorf: Change in management - Klaus Allofs takes over from Alexander Jobst
Fortuna Düsseldorf is starting a new chapter. With immediate effect, Klaus Allofs takes over as the managing director of the 2nd Bundesliga club from Alexander Jobst. The decision was made at a board meeting on Wednesday evening.
Fortuna Düsseldorf presents Klaus Allofs as its new managing director. The former Bundesliga professional and sports director has signed a contract with the second division club until June 30, 2026. Allofs succeeds Alexander Jobst, who left Fortuna Düsseldorf at his own request at the end of October 2022.
Allofs is a well-known figure in German football. As a player, he played for Fortuna Düsseldorf, 1. FC Köln, Werder Bremen and Kaiserslautern, among others. He was also part of the German national team that won the 1990 World Cup. After his playing career, Allofs worked as a sports director for Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg, among others.

Fortuna Düsseldorf is currently in 11th place in the 2nd Bundesliga. The club hopes that Allofs will lead the team back to the Bundesliga.
