Gladbach coach Seoane demands more from his attackers – Kleindienst in focus
Gladbach coach Adi Hütter demands more efficiency in front of goal from his attackers and takes striker Marcus Thuram out of the firing line.
Gladbach coach Adi Hütter has demanded more efficiency in front of goal from his attackers following their 1-1 draw with Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday.
The Foals have now scored just six goals in their last seven Bundesliga matches and Hütter believes his side need to be more clinical in the final third if they are to challenge for a European spot this season.
"We had enough chances to win the game today, but we didn't take them," said Hütter. "We need to be more ruthless in front of goal."
Hütter has taken Marcus Thuram out of the firing line after the French forward failed to score in his last five matches.
Patrick Herrmann and Alassane Plea are expected to start up front for Gladbach in their next match against Wolfsburg on Saturday.
Hütter also revealed that Jonas Hofmann is a doubt for the Wolfsburg game after the midfielder suffered a knock in the draw with Bielefeld.
"Jonas took a knock to his knee and we're not sure if he'll be fit for the Wolfsburg game," said Hütter.
Gladbach are currently eighth in the Bundesliga table, four points behind fourth-placed Freiburg.
