The age of consent in Iraq is 15 years old for both boys and girls, as per Article 392 of the Iraqi Penal Code.
This means that sexual activity with a person under the age of 15 is considered statutory rape, and can result in criminal charges.
Exceptions
There are a few exceptions to the age of consent law in Iraq. One exception is if the couple is married. In this case, the age of consent is 18 years old.
