The age of consent in Iraq is 15 years old for both boys and girls, as per Article 392 of the Iraqi Penal Code.
This means that sexual activity with a person under the age of 15 is considered statutory rape, and can result in criminal charges.
Exceptions
There are a few exceptions to the age of consent law in Iraq. One exception is if the couple is married. In this case, the age of consent is 18 years old.
Another exception is if the couple is engaged to be married and have obtained the consent of their parents or guardians. In this case, the age of consent is 15 years old.
