Jayson Molumby | Victory at Hull would be big boost going into break
Jayson Molumby has revealed that he is relishing the prospect of playing in front of the Hull crowd for the first time as a Tiger.
The Republic of Ireland international joined Hull City in January on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion, and has quickly established himself as a key player in Grant McCann's side.Molumby has made nine appearances for the Tigers so far, and has helped them climb to 19th in the Championship table.
The 23-year-old midfielder is now looking forward to playing in front of the Hull crowd for the first time when the Tigers host Preston North End on Saturday.
"It's a massive game for us, and it would be a big boost for us to go into the break with a win," said Molumby.
"The fans have been great with me since I arrived, and I'm really looking forward to playing in front of them on Saturday. I'm sure they'll give us a great reception, and I'm hoping that we can give them something to cheer about."
Hull go into the game against Preston on the back of a 1-0 defeat at home to Luton Town. However, Molumby is confident that the Tigers can bounce back and get a positive result.
"We're a good side, and we're capable of beating anyone in this league," said Molumby.
"We didn't play well against Luton, but we've put that behind us and we're focused on the game against Preston. We know it's going to be a tough game, but we're confident that we can get a win."
Hull are currently 19th in the Championship table, four points clear of the relegation zone. A win against Preston would see them move up to 16th in the table, and would give them a welcome boost ahead of the international break.
