Josh Windass hopes Blades supporting barber behaves himself
Ahead of crunch game against Blackburn Rovers
Windass doubtful to face former club due to injury
Sheffield United forward Josh Windass is hoping that a Blades supporting barber behaves himself ahead of the crunch clash against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
Windass, who is doubtful for the match due to an injury, has been the subject of some light-hearted banter from the barber, who is a Rovers fan.
The barber, who has not been named, has been winding up Windass about the upcoming match, and the striker is hoping that he doesn't take things too far.
"He's been giving me some stick, but it's all in good fun," said Windass.
"He's a good guy and I'm sure he'll be cheering me on from the stands on Saturday, even if he is a Blackburn fan."
Windass is one of several Blades players who are doubtful for the match against Rovers.
Oli McBurnie, Jack Robinson and Enda Stevens are all struggling with injuries, and manager Paul Heckingbottom will be making a late decision on their fitness.
The Blades will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Birmingham City last weekend.
They are currently 15th in the Championship table, and a win against Rovers would move them up to 12th.
Blackburn are 10th in the table, and they will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to four matches.
The match is set to be a close encounter, and Windass is hoping that he will be fit enough to play.
"I'm doing everything I can to be ready for Saturday," he said.
"I'm feeling a lot better and I'm hopeful that I'll be able to train fully this week."
"It's a big game for us and I'm desperate to play."
