17-year-old midfielder has impressed in training and could be handed his debut by Stefano Pioli

AC Milan Primavera starlet Aster Vranckx could become the second-youngest Serie A debutant in the club's history when the Rossoneri take on Cagliari on Sunday.

The 17-year-old midfielder has been in impressive form for Milan's youth team this season, scoring four goals in 10 appearances.

He has also caught the eye of first-team coach Stefano Pioli, who has invited him to train with the senior squad on several occasions.

Pioli is said to be impressed with Vranckx's ability on the ball and his eye for goal, and he could hand the youngster his debut against Cagliari if he continues to impress in training.

If Vranckx does make his debut, he will become the second-youngest Serie A debutant in Milan's history, behind only Paolo Maldini, who made his debut at the age of 16 years and 208 days.

Vranckx's potential debut is a sign of the growing strength of Milan's youth academy, which has produced a number of talented players in recent years, including Gianluigi Donnarumma, Patrick Cutrone, and Davide Calabria.
