Khakassia takes out another loan of 3.8 billion rubles.
Khakassia is once again taking out a commercial loan, in the amount of 3.8 billion rubles.
This is the second loan that Khakassia has taken out in recent months. In December 2022, the republic borrowed 2 billion rubles from Sberbank.
The new loan will be used to finance the construction of a new school in the city of Abakan.
The loan has an interest rate of 10.5% and a term of 10 years.
Khakassia's total debt now stands at 21.6 billion rubles, or 55.5% of the republic's budget revenue.
The republic's debt has been growing rapidly in recent years.
In 2018, Khakassia's debt was only 12.5 billion rubles. By the end of 2022, it had increased to 17.8 billion rubles.
The increase in debt has been driven by a number of factors, including the construction of new infrastructure projects, the decline in tax revenues, and the increase in social spending.
Khakassia's government has said that it plans to reduce its debt burden in the coming years by increasing tax revenues and reducing spending.
