Leonhardifahrt in Bad Tölz: Carriage brushes against the corner of a house - Affected farmer speaks up

Bad Tölz - During the traditional Leonhardifahrt in Bad Tölz, a carriage got too close to the corner of a house and caused damage to the facade. The affected farmer has now spoken up.

The incident occurred on Monday afternoon as the Leonhardifahrt procession made its way through the city center of Bad Tölz. A carriage, pulled by two horses, came too close to the corner of a house on the Ludwigstraße and snagged on the facade, causing damage to the plaster and paint.

The farmer who owns the house, Xaver Greil, was at home at the time of the incident and heard a loud bang. He immediately went outside and saw that his house had been damaged. "I was shocked," said Greil. "I've never seen anything like this before."

Greil said that the damage to his house is not extensive, but he is still upset about what happened. "It's a historic building," he said. "It's not just about the money."

The police are investigating the incident. They are looking into whether the carriage driver was at fault or if the damage was caused by another factor, such as the condition of the street.

The Leonhardifahrt is a traditional festival that has been held in Bad Tölz for over 500 years. It is one of the most popular events in the city, and it attracts thousands of visitors each year. The festival features a procession of horse-drawn carriages, as well as a market and other festivities.
