Liverpool Star Linked with Barcelona Move
Reds Forward Firmino's Future in Doubt as Spanish Giants Circle
Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino is reportedly a target for Barcelona, with the Spanish giants said to be preparing a summer move for the Brazilian.
Firmino has been a key player for Liverpool since joining the club from Hoffenheim in 2015, scoring 98 goals in 327 appearances.
However, the 31-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield this season, with Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz now preferred by manager Jurgen Klopp.
Firmino has started just 10 Premier League games this season, and his contract expires at the end of next season.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona are keen to take advantage of Firmino's situation and are preparing a summer move for the forward.
The report claims that Barcelona are willing to offer Firmino a three-year contract worth around £150,000 per week.
Liverpool are said to be reluctant to lose Firmino, but they may be forced to sell if the player is keen on a move to Barcelona.
Firmino is a popular figure at Liverpool, and his departure would be a blow to the club.
However, the Reds may feel that they can afford to let Firmino go, with Jota and Diaz now established members of the first team.
