Pro-Palestine Groups Plan to 'Swarm' UK With Coordinated Protests on Armistice Day
Groups across the UK are planning to come together for coordinated protests on Armistice Day in a show of support for the Palestinian people.
The protests, which are being organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), are set to take place in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow on November 11th.
The PSC is calling on people to join the protests to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people and to call for an end to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The protests are also being supported by other pro-Palestine groups, including Friends of Al-Aqsa and the Muslim Association of Britain.
In a statement, the PSC said: "The Armistice Day protests will be a chance for people across the UK to come together and show their support for the Palestinian people."
"We will be calling for an end to the Israeli occupation and for a just and lasting peace in the region."
The protests are expected to attract thousands of people and are likely to cause disruption to traffic and public transport.
The Metropolitan Police have said that they are aware of the planned protests and are putting in place measures to ensure public safety.
Armistice Day is a national day of remembrance in the UK, which commemorates the end of the First World War.
The day is also known as Remembrance Day and is marked by a two-minute silence at 11 am on November 11th.
The PSC is a non-governmental organization that campaigns for Palestinian rights and for an end to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The PSC was founded in 1982 and has offices in London, Manchester, and Birmingham.
The PSC is a member of the Stop the War Coalition and the Palestinian BDS National Committee.
