Remembrance Day ceremonies to be held across the country
Commemorating those who served
Remembrance Day is a day to remember and honour those who have served and sacrificed for our country. This year, Remembrance Day will be observed on November 11th, and there will be ceremonies held across the country to commemorate the occasion.
The largest Remembrance Day ceremony in Canada will be held in Ottawa, at the National War Memorial. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 am, and will include a parade of veterans, a wreath-laying ceremony, and a flypast by the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Local Remembrance Day services
In addition to the national ceremony in Ottawa, there will be many local Remembrance Day services held across the country. These services will be held at cenotaphs, memorials, and other public spaces. They will typically include a reading of the Act of Remembrance, a two-minute silence, and the laying of wreaths.
