A New Dating Format, Here Comes the Date

The new dating show “Take Me Out” is coming to RTL. The show is hosted by Jan Köppen and features a group of single men who are looking for love. The women stand behind a panel of lights and decide whether to keep their light on or turn it off based on the man's appearance. The man then has a chance to talk to the women and try to win them over.

First Broadcast on March 8, 2023

RTL announced that the program will be broadcast every Wednesday at 8:15pm from March 8, 2023. At present, no further information is available about the number of episodes planned or whether it will be a limited series.

In 2013, RTL already broadcast a show of the same name based on the international format "Take Me Out". The audience had to vote on which single men were allowed to stay in the show until the end. The show was hosted by Ralf Schmitz and was not a great success. It remains to be seen whether the new edition can convince more viewers.
