This Week in the Peace – Remembrance Day & FSJ Cancer Support Circles Society
Remembrance Day 2023
This Friday, November 11, is Remembrance Day. On this day, we remember and honour the men and women who have served our country in times of war, conflict, and peace. We also remember the sacrifices they have made, including those who have paid the ultimate price.
There will be a number of events taking place in the Peace Region to mark Remembrance Day, including ceremonies in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, and Chetwynd. The Fort St. John ceremony will be held at the cenotaph in Centennial Park at 10:45 am. The Dawson Creek ceremony will be held at the cenotaph in Rotary Park at 11:00 am. And the Chetwynd ceremony will be held at the cenotaph in Veteran's Park at 10:45 am.
We encourage everyone to attend one of these ceremonies and take a moment to remember those who have served our country.
