WATCH | Springboks serenaded by bagpipes and sunshine as hype builds for Scottish Test
Festive atmosphere in Edinburgh as world champions touch down ahead of Saturday's clash
Springboks' captain Siya Kolisi and coach Jacques Nienaber shared their expectations for the game
The Springboks were given a rousing welcome as they arrived in Edinburgh ahead of their Test match against Scotland on Saturday.
The world champions were greeted by a group of bagpipers playing traditional Scottish music, and the sun was shining as they made their way to their hotel.
The Springboks are looking to build on their impressive 30-26 victory over Wales last weekend, while Scotland will be hoping to bounce back from their 29-23 defeat to Australia.
'We're expecting a tough game' - Springboks captain Siya Kolisi
"We're expecting a tough game," said Springboks captain Siya Kolisi. "Scotland are a very good side, and they'll be playing at home, so we know we'll have to be at our best."
"We're excited to be here in Edinburgh," added Kolisi. "It's a beautiful city, and the people have been very welcoming. We're looking forward to the game on Saturday, and we're hoping to put in a good performance."
'We need to be clinical' - Springboks coach Jacques Nienaber
"We need to be clinical in our execution," said Springboks coach Jacques Nienaber. "We created a lot of chances against Wales, but we didn't take them all. We need to be more clinical this weekend."
"We also need to be disciplined," added Nienaber. "Scotland are a very good team at the breakdown, so we need to make sure we're not giving away any penalties."
