Xi Jinping to Attend APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and G20 Summit, Visit Peru and Brazil
Beijing, Oct. 11 (Prensa Latina) President Xi Jinping will attend the 29th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting and the 17th Group of Twenty (G20) Leaders' Summit, and visit Peru and Brazil from November 17 to 23.
At the invitation of Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang, Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Brazilian President Michel Temer, Xi will pay state visits to the two South American countries.
The APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, under the theme "Creating New Dynamism, Fostering a Shared Future," will be held in the Vietnamese city of Da Nang on November 10-11. As the host economy, Vietnam chairs the 2017 APEC meeting.
This is the first APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting Xi will attend since China's successful hosting of the G20 Hangzhou Summit in September 2016. Xi's attendance demonstrates China's strong support for APEC cooperation.
